At Citizens Advice Surrey Heath, we’re here to help. We believe that no one should have to face complicated or intimidating problems without good quality, independent advice. Our mission is to give people the knowledge and the confidence they need to find their way forward – whoever they are, and whatever their problem.
Our Services
Our network of independent charities offers confidential advice online, over the phone, and in person, all for free. We are proud to be independent and impartial, which is why people rely on us. In addition to our core services, we also provide advice on consumer rights through our consumer helpline, support witnesses in courts through the Witness Service, and offer pension guidance to individuals aged over 50.
Our Impact
We make a significant impact on the lives of thousands of people every year. In 2023-2024, this included:
Providing crisis support to nearly 2,500 people, ensuring they could eat and keep the power on.
Established a Surrey-wide Adviceline service to improve response rates for local residents and those across Surrey.
Secured funding from the National Lottery Community Fund for a partnership project with Catalyst Support to help peopel with both financial and mental wellbeing.
Attended 79 outreach sessions across the Borough
Assisted with 421 benefit forms and appeals, up 14% on last year.
Dealt with 2806 claims to the Household Support Fund and awareded £218,300 to those in need.
Attended 27 Outreach sessions at venues throughout the Borough.
Supported 414 clients with financial and debt issues to improve their financial resilience.
In total, we helped over 5,140 people find a way forward with one-to-one advice in 2023-24
