A record £2,525 raised to support the work of
Citizens Advice Surrey Heath
Friday, 6th October saw the return of our annual Quiz Night in aid of Citizens Advice Surrey Heath. This is proving to be a popular event with 25 teams of up to 8 people participating this year.
We are delighted that the 2017 Citizens Advice Surrey Heath Golf Day was another successful event, helped by a blue sky and sunshine – not something you can always guarantee in April. It was held again at the prestigious Berkshire Golf Club but this time the 24 teams of golfers played the Blue Course after last year playing the Red Course.
The last year has been a very busy one for Citizens Advice Surrey Heath.
As well as helping over 2,500 local people who phoned or visited us, we advised well over 1,000 people via our new email and webchat service. We also provided advice in the homes of people who were unable to travel.
Our Quiz Night was held on 7th October at St Paul’s Church.
The event was a great success with 18 teams totaling 150 participants and over £1,700 was raised. The prizes were presented by the High Sheriff of Surrey with the Mayor of Surrey Heath’s team in first place.
Once again we are fortunate to be able to utilise The Berkshire Golf Club for the event in 2017, with the opportunity to play the Blue Course next time.
The date is Wednesday 5th April and the cost for a team of 4 will be confirmed later.
Once again we shall be encouraging individuals and local organisations to sponsor a hole,
Our 4th Annual Golf Day was held on Tuesday 12th April 2016 at The Berkshire Golf Club. We were fortunate to have the opportunity to hold this increasingly popular event on the Red Course at this prestigious club.
Our charitable objectives were met and approximately £11,250 was raised to supplement the existing funding streams of the charity.
